    Science objectives/activities planned:
This is the 2nd of 3 funded cruises for this grant. The main objective is to continue our time series sampling of hydrothermal vent fluids at this site. Recording temperature probes will also be recovered and re-deployed. We will also be collecting rock (sulfide and lava) samples, and accompanying biolgoical samples. Nightwork will include at least 1 CTD, and towed camera work.

WHOI shipboard scientific instrumentation desired:
Fume hood
    Relay transponder for wire use
Refrigerator
Deionized water system
CTD/rosette system-70 deg freezer
Walk-in cooler (AT only)
10-liter Niskin bottles
Pinger for wire use

Is nighttime work anticipated on this cruise? Yes
