    Science objectives/activities planned:
(1) Deploy a surface mooring near the Martha’s Vineyard Coastal Observatory, (2) examine the performance of a new radar enhancer by steaming away from the buoy when enhancer is on and off, and (3) verify operation of the wave-measurement instrument on the buoy after deployment by confirming receipt of valid satellite telemetry messages. The purpose of the mooring deployment is to test and calibrate a new sensor for measurement of surface waves from a surface buoy. Task (2) will be performed while we wait for the wave instrument to collect and transmit data (about two hours after deployment).
