To study fate of hydrothermally injected NH3 in the water column and the microbial geochemical processes that controlss it.

Collect warm and hot hydrothermal discharge fluid samples for shipboard/shore analyses and for in situ and shipboard incubation experiments.

Collect push core samples.

Perform CTD-optical sensor-rosette casts through water column plumes to near seafloor.
