4. Time allowing, boxcoring and deep trawling at night.

Most unused reagents and preservatives will stay on board for the following Pacific legs and will ultimately be removed and returned to either Penn State or the Field Museum.

Used reagents and preservatives offloaded in Galveston will be properly packed for transport and returned to Louisiana State University. Ultimately, they will be transferred to the Hazardous Materials Safety program of LSU.
